The client requested a venue that was representative of Kyoto. The conference was truly special, with the overwhelming atmosphere and scenery that was characteristic of Kyoto at its fullest.

The conference was held at HIGASHIYAMA, The Sodoh Higashiyama Kyoto 's largest banquet hall, and during breaks, the lounge space on the first floor of HIGASHIYAMA was used lavishly to provide a coffee and Japanese sweets corner, giving the attendees a truly Japanese feel. After the conference, the attendees moved to the adjacent venue for a special lunch plan, and as there were many overseas guests, special menus were provided to cater for allergies and religions, as well as vegetarian and vegan guests. This was a unique conference that was different from the norm.

We have prepared some unique food, drinks and services outside of our hotel.

For guests who wanted to have a reception party in a unique location, rather than a regular banquet hall, and to have a Kyoto feel, we prepared original finger foods and special drinks, and brought in glasses and plates so that guests could enjoy their time in style. We also had a service staff on hand to provide service befitting a special event.

The first time it was held in Japan was at The Sodoh Higashiyama Kyoto. Since then, it has been a special exhibition/business event held at The Sodoh Higashiyama Kyoto for five consecutive years.

The story goes that, after learning about the space, site, location and history of The Sodoh Higashiyama Kyoto, they decided to hold the event in Japan, even though they had not planned to do so. This event was a special invitation for customers who have made the largest purchases over the year, allowing them to enjoy Kyoto to the fullest while also being able to see and purchase new products in advance. With a tour, drinks during the tour, a lunch service, and a cultural experience, this was a one-of-a-kind exhibition/business meeting where customers could fully experience the good things about Kyoto.
